HOW OFTEN SHOULD I HAVE MY FEET CHECKED BY PROFESIONAL

The frequency of professional foot check-ups can vary depending on individual needs and health conditions. Generally, it's advisable to have a foot health assessment at least once a year. However, if you have specific foot issues, such as diabetes, circulatory problems, or frequent foot discomfort, more regular visits (e.g., every 3-6 months) might be recommended.

CAN I RECEIVE TREATMENT FOR INGROW TOENAIL AT YOUR CLINIC

Yes, we offer professional care for ingrown toenails at FeetFlow Body & Foot Care Clinic.

Ingrown toenails can cause pain, redness, swelling and discomfort when walking or wearing shoes. During your appointment, we assess the nail and surrounding skin, provide appropriate conservative treatment where suitable, and give clear advice on home care and prevention.

If there are signs of infection, severe pain, spreading redness, or discharge, we may recommend contacting your GP for further medical advice.

Book an appointment if your toenail is painful, irritated, or starting to grow into the skin.

WHAT IS THE BEST WAY TO PREVENT FUNGAL FOOT INFECTION

Preventing fungal foot infections involves a combination of good hygiene and environmental awareness. Always keep your feet clean and dry, especially between the toes. Wear moisture-wicking socks and breathable shoes to reduce moisture build-up. Avoid walking barefoot in communal areas like gyms, pools, and locker rooms; wear flip-flops or shower shoes instead. Regularly disinfect your footwear and avoid sharing shoes or nail tools. Suppose you notice any symptoms of a fungal infection, such as itching, redness, or nail colour or texture changes. In that case, seeking treatment early is essential to prevent the disease from worsening or spreading.
