Frequently Asked Questions
Q. What is reflexology and how does it work?
A. Reflexology is a complementary therapy based on the theory that areas on the feet and hands correspond to an area on the body. Working the areas of the feet has an effect on the corresponding area of the body. It is believed that reflexology improves blood and lymph circulation, and balances the endocrine system thereby stimulating the body into healing itself. Reflexology itself does not hurt, it is a gentle therapy. Sometimes a particular area of the foot can be a bit painful indicating that there is some imbalance in the corresponding area in the body.
Q. What are your qualifications as a therapist?
A. I have a Level 3 ITEC Diploma in Reflexology and am a full member of the Association of Reflexologists. I am an approved RLD (Reflexology Lymphatic Drainage) practitioner and have attended courses in Advanced Reflexology and Foot Reading. I have the necessary Public Liability and Malpractice insurance.
Q. What will it cost?
A. A single session will cost £30. If you book a course of 4 sessions the cost will be £90 (25% discount). My main practising areas are Hertfordshire (Stevenage, Hitchin, Letchworth, Welwyn Garden City), Cambridge and North London.
